Folding Proofer for (almost) fool-proof dough proofing. Temperature control is game-changing for bread dough.

High Capacity Baking Scale is super helpful for precision measuring which can make all the difference for beginners and expert bakers. Measuring consistently is the only way to properly duplicate and adjust recipes.

Baking Shell Boule or Batard replaces heavy Dutch Ovens for baking crusty breads. Use on a preheated baking stone or steel and it replaces the need for preheating a Dutch Oven.

Non-stick silicone baking mat makes a sturdy non-slip surface for rolling dough.

Danish whisk makes quick work of stirring stiff doughs.

Nutrition Information

Nutrition Data. A terrific USDA resource for ingredient and food product nutrient data, fast foods included. Also a free downloadable recipe analyzer.

The USDA website is easy to navigate and has lots of useful, reliable information on food and nutrition topics, programs and a host of USDA publications. For protein, calories, fat, vitamin content of a food, the USDA FoodDataCentral is easy to use. 

Choose My Plate (replaced the food pyramid) includes Super Tracker to help plan meals, and track your food choices  

Food Safety

Information on food shelf life from several sources, USDA included, all compiled in one place.

Have you got your kraut? Festive for year round e Have you got your kraut?  Festive for year round enjoyment. Recipe by @kraut_source with sauerkraut making tips from Make Sauerkraut  I use @makesauerkraut method of 2% salt by weight of kraut ingredients (1000g ingredients = 20g Kosher salt). Lots of cabbage, toss in some fresh or frozen cranberries, fresh pomegranate arils, and a sprinkling of fresh dill. Ferment 10-14 days in dark place, checking that the brine is covering the ingredients. Yum!
